This is so beautiful!!! I can't believe you were able to keep the camera steady at all! I think that bird was probably blown in at 100mph! smile
Frank L Croston.: Total luck, Elizabeth...Never even saw the bird...! This is straight out of the tin too!

I can feel and see the storm - a great image!
Frank L Croston.: We certainly could! I live on the coast, and am used to winds off the sea but this was exceptional!
Thank you, Philine.

This looks very much like California appears in my head Frank. Having never been there my limited insight comes from media, especially old movies etc..
Frank L Croston.: Me too, Chris, I would have liked to see more of the coast.

Oh crikey! I never considered that this part of the Californian coast gets high winds. But then the Santa Ana winds are infamous for spreading wild fires. You did well to get a this shot, beautiful colours. Santa Monica is one of the better spots in the greater LA area; it's my least favourite part of California.
Frank L Croston.: Apparently they do! Thanks, Alan, I would like to see more of California.
One can only imagine Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Trust me, Andrew...smile
Iconic music to go with the iconic tall LA palms. You certainly captured the windy feel. Love this song, especially by Jose Feliciano.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mary, had no choice in what I captured! smile

Frank L Croston.: Well, Peter, anytime you want me to go again just let me know...smile

What didin't blow away was enough for a fine image, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Ray, I was surprised to get this.
Stayed in a nice old hotel in Santa Monica on a couple of occasions - some great restaurants there!
Frank L Croston.: I would like to see more of it, we found a nice restaurant, we enjoyed our evening. Then got a taxi driven by a guy from London! We had a laugh talking about how we had had to adapt our language. smile
