Great eye...you have...Frank...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ray, much appreciated.
Nicely done, Mr. Croston!!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth. You wouldn't believe how hard this was to get! A tall chain link fence in the way.

Fascinating architecture- who is Leo?
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it,Philine.....Its actually, 'Cleo', the name of the restaurant in the hotel, said to be one of the best in Hollywood.
Very clever isn't it?

Hollywood and vine put me in mind of Heart attack and vine by screamin Jay Hawkins
Frank L Croston.: Wonderful, Bill. I almost posted that song, Tom Waits did a version also, didn't think anyone would listen to that. smile
That is great fun Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it just, Andrew...smile

Capitol Records! A classic record company from my younger days. I love the artwork on the side of the Ledbury.

What did you think of LA?
Frank L Croston.: An iconic building, Alan, that artwork is really special. L.A. Well...Huge, some great buildings, vibrant areas, some areas I'm sure I shouldn't have been in as a tourist! Hollywood boulevard is like the 'Golden mile' in Blackpool, cheap, tawdry, no glamour for sure. I would have liked to spend time on the coast. You probably need a month to take it all in, I'll talk to my son,he spent some time there some years ago.
Fabulous trompe l'oeil and good of you to capture it, being a difficult one.
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it great...I saw this on the previous day we were there and really wanted to get a shot of it.
Darn those chain link fences anyway...
Frank L Croston.: At least you can poke lens's through them, Larry. smile

Great capture Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Anne, I really wanted to get this shot.
Whenever I've been in LA - which is only about four times, I always feel that I'm in a movie smile
Frank L Croston.: I know exactly what you mean, Tom...You probably were!
