I LOVE this view! You certainly caught the vastness of the place! Wasn't that fun!
Frank L Croston.: After all we've seen here, this view and the road to it still took my breath away, Utah is some place!

I thought Utah was filled...border to border...with Mormons, Frank, but I don't see even one in this big country shot.
Frank L Croston.: Oh, they are there, As you find out when trying to order a beer!...

One of your incomparable landscapes, Frank. What does the comment about "ordering a beer" mean, please?
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elisabeth, you are very kind. Well, as Utah is a Mormon state, they have strange rules about alcohol, I think you can only buy it with a meal, they aren't allowed stimulants of any kind, even coffee or tea, in some hotels they don't provide kettles in the rooms because of this.
So vast, indeed, Frank, and so flat in between the "magical formations" everywhere. Now I'm hoping you and Elizabeth take us to the Valley of the Gods!!??!!
Frank L Croston.: vast indeed, Ginnie, I'm sorry, but we can't take you this time, we were headed home and decided not to go off our route.

Whew - what a sight Frank!

Did you go to the Valley of the Gods I wonder? It sounds intriguing
Frank L Croston.: Breathtaking, Chris. No, we didn't, I think its a lot of big mesa's, with a road through them.
Impressionnante immensité , il ne doit pas falloir se tromper de route !Bone journée
Frank L Croston.: Very impressive, Claudine, not a place to go wrong!
An immense landscape Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Takes your breath away, Bill.
You must have walked a fair few miles Frank.
Frank L Croston.: We did in Zion, Bryce, and on the morning of this trip we had climbed down to see some natural bridges. But we were driving home. smile

So did you go up/down the Moki Dugway?
Frank L Croston.: I didn't know it was called that! Yes, Alan, I took this shot from there, ( see tomorrow) We were driving from 'Natural bridges' to Mexican hat. If you have driven it you know how spectacular it is!

The valley of the Gods is that the same as the garden of Eden?? wink....
What an amazing view, I love how the road is like a 'zigzag' don't miss the bend...
Did you go tot the 'valley of the Gods'..?
Frank L Croston.: No, different place, Astrid...smile Yes, no dozing off on that road! We didn't go there, no...We were heading home and didn't really have time .
What an amazing vista, I wonder why the road isn't straight but winds for no apparent resaon.
Frank L Croston.: Great isn't it, Brian. There are probably washes and rock formations that you can't see from this distance.
What an expanse. Love the switchback in the extreme foreground which you probably just ascended.
Frank L Croston.: Amazing, Mary. We were just descending actually,to take the road you see.

Another amazing vista. Did you travel along the "valley of the gods" track? What is at the end?
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Anne. just a lot of Gods....In a valley...smile No, I'm afraid we were stuck for time so we gave it a miss this time. Its like a smaller version of monument valley, with large rock outcrops, apparently they filmed two episodes of 'Doctor Who 'there.
One of the less populated parts of the USA smile
Frank L Croston.: You could say that, Tom. smile
beautiful landscape/map of God's country Frank....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Peter.
I think I have been on that road...
Frank L Croston.: Your name was mentioned, Larry...smile
