Not far from ours, you can usually see mt' Humphreys from here, the highest point in Arizona, not this day.

I love this - and that you can see it's still snowing!
Frank L Croston.: It was, just after dropping you off. Thanks.

Love those loooong icicles hanging off the edge of the roof, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Aren't they great, Ray, you see them everywhere, a serious lack of guttering here, I don't know why, there is one outside our window about four feet long.

Magnifique, j'aime cette vue de la neige.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Martine, its a winter wonderland!
I'm still trying to get my head around all that snow for you there in Arizona, Frank. Really!
Frank L Croston.: I must admit, Ginnie, that the amount we got surprised me, though Elizabeth says it's quite normal.

That is all very impressive, Frank

I'm curious about your snowy weather Frank. Is this really unusual or have I been brainwashed into thinking it's all perpetual sun in Arizona?
Frank L Croston.: Elizabeth tells me, that this is not unusual, after all, there is a ski resort just outside Flagstaff, on Mt' Humphreys, and a Nordic ski place with trails as well. With lots of ski/snowboard shops in town.
It's almost a white out Frank.
Frank L Croston.: We drove home from Phoenix at the start of this storm, it was dark, as well as the snow, now that was scary!

Stunning, Frank. Is Elizabeth coping OK with getting to work in her "Neesan"? presumably she has chains and/or winter tyres.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Alan, I do all the driving in the snow, Ell' is very nervous in the snow conditions since her accident a few years ago. No snow tyres/chains, touch wood, so far we have had no problems, the all wheel drive does make a difference, passed a 'Mustang' this morning, rear wheels spinning, steam/smoke rising, it was still there when I got back...Muscle cars..Pah! smile
Rather you than me Frank.
Frank L Croston.: All those trips to Malta have made you soft! smile
Get the snow shovel out Frank
Frank L Croston.: Don't worry, Martin, its been out.
Time to get the shovel warmed up.
Frank L Croston.: Its melted, Mary....smile ( The shovel that is! )
Well first thing is that it looks a nice area, perhaps a summer photo with Mt/Humphreys in the background would be nice. I'm presuming that you have snow tyres etc.on the car at such times, there are certainly no tyre tracks in the snow from anybody.
Frank L Croston.: It is a nice area, Brian, though just off to the left of this pic' some of the houses/shacks are a bit 'rum'...smile No, no snow tyres on, our car is all wheel drive and I've been very impressed at its performance in the snow.
Superb!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much.
It looks wonderful Frank. I hope you have winter tyres!
Frank L Croston.: It is, Bill, just our usual, which are meant for off road as well, they have been good so far.
Mmmm - looks like you've had a little snow - unlike here in Southern Sweden, where there's nothing!
Frank L Croston.: Three feet of it, Tom, we must have got Sweden's...smile
A nice snowy scene... but I bet you will be glad when it's gone...
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Larry, NOOOO! I haven't got all my photo's yet!
Send plane tickets for Malta, now done my back in emptying tumble drier.
Frank L Croston.: Oh, dear...Sorry to hear that Bud, tickets on the way..Get better soon.

A change of view, while at home ... What an excellent winter picture in this landscape.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Louis, glad you like it.
