photoblog image A rainbow forest

A rainbow forest

We had never seen anything like this before....The forest at the foot of Mt Humphreys just outside Flagstaff, completely covered in a rainbow.

This is wonderful!

Start mining, Frank, as there must be a whole seam of gold here.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray, it was a fantastic sight.
An extraordinary sight, which you've captured just beautifully, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Wasn't it just, so glad we turned that way! I'm sure your pic's are just as good.

C'est magnifique !
Frank L Croston.: Thats what we thought, Martine.
WOWSER, Frank. I've never seen that either...like a rainbow mist hovering over the land.
Frank L Croston.: Thats what it was like, Ginnie, it seemed to hover, shimmering over the forest.

Thank heaven you managed to capture this Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Those were my thoughts, Chris, I thought it might disappear any second!

How incredible Frank, I have never seen a rainbow so low to ground.
Frank L Croston.: Us either, Andrew, quite remarkable.
A fabulous capture, probably never to be repeated.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Suzanne, you are probably right.

You can even see where the pot o' gold is supposed to be at the left. I have seen them clear, strong coloured, etc - but never so low.
Frank L Croston.: We had never seen one as low, quite remarkable, Louis.

This is a wonderful, spectacular photo!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Philine, so glad we captured it.
Gobsmacked! Amazing sight Frank
Frank L Croston.: It was even better for real, Bill, quite amazing to see.
I think it would be fair to say you and Elizabeth were blessed to see this Frank, it is beautiful.
Frank L Croston.: We were so lucky, we had just come down of Mt Humphrey's and could have gone home, so missing it, but decided to go this way and I said to Elizabeth there could be a rainbow, turned around and this was it!
I've never seen such a low rainbow. Completely fantastic!
Frank L Croston.: Neither had we, it was wonderful. This photo doesn't do it justice, Mary.
